We’re going on a bear hunt unicorn frolic
We’re going on a unicorn frolic, and we’re not scared
We’re going to run lots of miles, but we’re not prepared
Five intrepid explorers travelled to Moreton
For a 12-hour race, frolicking with unicorns
We’re going on a unicorn frolic, are we going to see any
We’re going on a unicorn frolic, are there any to be found

The unicorn explorers rise early for a 08:00 start, but some were less ready than others
One explorer forged on ahead, while the others busied themselves for their delayed start

We will start soon, just time to put on fancy dress
We will start soon, just time for another trip to the loo
We’re going on a unicorn frolic, oh… the first explorer has done 5 miles already
We’re going on a unicorn frolic, we’re going to start now

Off the explorers went, round and round the woods they went
In pairs they went, in search of those illusive unicorns, and what ever else could be found

We’re going on a unicorn frolic, and visit love station
We’re going on a unicorn frolic, and visit the gin bar
The 2nd half of the relay team started to wonder what’s taking them so long on this lap
It was past opening hour, so the 1st half were busy at the gin bar, having one, two, three

We’re going on a unicorn frolic, we haven’t seen any yet
We’re going on a unicorn frolic, we’ve run lots of miles

Long into the evening one explorer ran, further than ever before
But at last, all the explorers were done, but the race was not won

We’ve been on a unicorn frolic, and not one was found
We’ve been on a unicorn frolic, just lots of nutters running around

Five intrepid explorers wiled away the evening, at the post-race barn dance
A barn dance you say!!! All the best frolics end with a barn dance, don’t you know?

We’ve been on a unicorn frolic, and now there is thunder and lightning
We’ve been on a unicorn frolic, so we’re not scared

Early the next morning, one explorer forged on ahead, in his trusty stead
To take photos of his club mates, running at great speed
I’ve been on a unicorn frolic, so thought it best not to do the Half
I’ve been on a unicorn frolic, so could have done without running up Tennyson

Later that morning four explorers set off home, in their trusty stead
But it faltered after less than a league
We’ve been on a unicorn frolic, but now we are stuck
Avast, Avast
Hours and hours they waited, before the tow truck came
At last, at last

We’ve been on a unicorn frolic, and had a great weekend with friends
We’ve been on a unicorn frolic, have you!
…
Four tiered explorers arrive home at last
And dream of unicorns, we’ve seen them at last
