Captain’s Report – May 2022
Captain’s Report – May 2022
Alton 10m was hot and hilly as usual. Pete had an excellent race, with a sprint finish battle with a guy in the age group below him.
The men’s team scored very well at Netley 10km, despite the twisty-turny course, with the first 3 Harriers in the top 15 overall. It was a good race day conditions, until the heavens opened 30 minutes into the race.
Henry McLuckie continues to improve, achieving a sub-4-minute mile at the Night of the 10000m PB’s.
Having previously qualified to run as part of the England masters team, Trish Train donned her England vest again at Chester Half Marathon, which incorporates the Age Group Masters Championship, and won her age category.
Brian Warren completed the Edinburgh Marathon, after swearing he would never do another. It’s all downhill after that one.
Its defiantly summer now, and the Sunday social runs have started again, all abilities welcome, and the run always finish at a pub. Keep an eye out for Bridget Lewis’s posts on Facebook.
