Club Night Route Summer 10km MT

Directions.
Turn left out of the Rowing Club, go down the left-hand side of the canoe lake cross to the left hand side of the main esplanade road when possible. Continue along the esplanade for 200m and turn left through the gardens by the Pelican Crossing and cross the road into Monkton Street.
Run the full length of Monkton Street and turn right, cross St Johns Road (very carefully) so that you can take the first left into Quarry Road. Run the full length of Quarry Road and continue onto the footpath (Pig Leg Lane) until it finally merges with the end of Rosemary Lane by the Railway Crossing. Cross the railway line turn right onto the footpath that runs alongside the railway and continue until it comes out on Smallbrook Lane cross over (taking care with traffic) and take the footpath directly opposite, which continues to run alongside the railway and winds through some woods (mind the tree roots).
On exiting the woods the footpath runs diagonally right through a field and past a large specimen Oak tree, continue towards a style in the hedge in front of you. Take the obvious path through the next field heading for the buildings in the distance which is Busy Bee.
The footpath goes through some woods and comes out by the entrance to Busy Bee, turn right down Beaper Shute staying on the right-hand side, after 200m take the footpath on the left by the bus stop. (Be aware of fast moving traffic when crossing!)
Follow the footpath that runs along the edge of the golf course, then turn right when you get at a T-junction with a larger track.
After 300m the track enters a wooded area and goes downhill, turn hard left at the next junction.
Follow the track uphill for 700m, near the top of the hill take the footpath on the left through a gap in the hedge. (There are solar panels in the nearby fields on your right at this junction)
Follow the footpath down through a group of farm buildings & houses, 300m after the buildings cross the bridge and as the track starts to rise again, after about 50m up the slope, take the footpath on the right-hand side just after the hedge starts.
When the footpath comes out onto Nettlestone Hill, turn left up the hill and cross over, then take the footpath that runs down the lane in front of the Wishing well pub.
Turn right down Oakhill Road, then left along Springvale Road towards Appley past the tower finishing at the club.
