Newport to Ryde Road Race Information
Transport:
Suitable transport from Portsmouth Harbour is the 13:15 Wightlink Catarmaran sailing.
Sailing times can be confirmed by phoning Wightlink on 0871 376 4342.
Onward transport to Newport, on a No.9 bus, leaves the Bus Station at Ryde Esplanade at 10 minute intervals and takes 30 minutes.
Transport of runners kit from the start in Newport to the finish at Ryde High School will be provided.
Concessionary rate travel on Ferries is being offered by Wightlink details will be provided on entry.

** IN 2008 THE COURSE WAS MODIFIED NEAR THE START FOR SAFETY REASONS, THE RACE IS EXTENDED TO 7.2 MILES. THE ROUTE IS OTHERWISE UNCHANGED. **
The course is undulating throughout and runs via Staplers Road, Whiterails Road (to outskirts of Wootton), Briddlesford Road, Havenstreet and Dame Anthony’s common (Bridleway) to finish in the grounds of Ryde High School, Pell Lane, Ryde.
